I remember being mesmerised by the sky and the rainbows when I first arrived in New Zealand. I love the power of a new environment to wake us up and help us pay attention to our surroundings. A good life is surely one in which we're awake and present to all that happens 😃🌈❤️

The wide eyes of everything being new!

Is it that we didn’t notice or marvel at the rainbows in the uk? I’m sure I did, but I think the sunshine here adds to their vibrancy ☀️ 🌈

Slowing down and writing about the details helps me to stay awake and present. I did my mindfulness practice this morning & it definitely sets me up for the day. I enjoyed my breakfast all the more for tasting it.

There are definitely less rainbows in the UK. It's that potent combo of sunshine and rain that characterises tropical and sub-tropical climates.

And yes, I love how writing helps to wake us up to the details 😊

I am always looking forward to your posts. I used to live abroad and when I read your words, it's as if I am getting a sense of adventure again. But it's not just the glimpse into your life on the Cayman Islands, but also your beautiful reflections that draw me in.
