I too have been feeling like I've lost my writing mojo a little lately, and noticed my own internal committee berating me in comparison to everyone else on Substack who seem to be posting away like demons! I love that phrase 'the shitty committee' and plan to borrow that straight away 😀

Something else in Cathy’s book lodged in my brain. She was talking about writing practice & how her goal is to sit and write every min-Friday first thing. She said she’s a writer, so this is her job, and said for those juggling other demands, the commitment might to do the same, but on Saturday and sunday.
How many of the substack writers that your committee are choosing to compare your efforts to, are doing the same job as you, or writing the same kind of content?
Creativity can be ‘light’ or ‘mined from the depths’- one is not better or worse, but it is different and takes & gives different things from us.
What is your good enough?! That’s all that matters.
Ps I noticed you got recommended by Jody day, so i wonder what your critical committee had to say about that?!
